PERRYVILLE – The Perryville Fire Department was called out Tuesday, November 11th at about 11:07 a.m. for a structure fire in the 1000 block of Smith Street.
Arriving firefighters were informed that it was a possible the resident was in the house.
Upon arrival they observed heavy fire venting from the front windows.
According to the fire report, “An aggressive attack was made from the front door of the residence. Fire suppression began with the fire being brought under control.”
The report continued, “There was smoke and water damage to the entire structure.”
During the fire suppression it was learned the resident of the home was at work.
One deceased pet was found by firefighters.
Mercy Perry EMS was called for standby during the incident. No injuries were reported.
Perryville Police Depart and the Missouri State Fire Marshal was called to the scene.
The incident remains under investigation.
