The Woman of the Year award honors an exceptional student leader at SEMO who demonstrates academic excellence, campus involvement and a strong commitment to community service. Candidates must be nominated by a recognized University student organization.
Martin is a psychology major and was sponsored by Student Government Association.
“I realize Homecoming is an incredibly valuable asset to this campus,” said Martin. “This year, as the President of Student Government Association, I realized there is so much more to Homecoming behind the scenes than a parade and games. It is about bringing the alumni, the community and current students together to celebrate our pride and excitement for our University.”
