Caroline M. Littge, 95, of Altenburg, Missouri passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at Mercy Hospital Southeast.
She was born February 1, 1930 in Altenburg, MO to George and Adele (Vogel) Fischer.
Caroline and Vernon D. Littge were married August 13, 1950. He preceded her in death on June 10, 2005.
She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Altenburg and the LWML.
Caroline was a school teacher for thirty-three years at many of the surrounding schools in Perry County. She also taught religion at Immanuel for twenty-eight years.
Caroline volunteered with Hope Seeds and as a Docent at the Lutheran Heritage Museum. She was a avid reader and enjoyed walking with her life-long friend, Ms. Hughey.
Survivors include three daughters, Martha Bohnert, Chris (Tom) Scheiter, Carol Littge; son, Don (Tina) Littge; sister, Kathryn Poppitz; five grandchildren, Nicole (Dave) Warner, Angela (Jason) Kiefer, Adele (Cory) Esselman, Emma (Ryan) Lorenz, Fischer Scheiter; eight great-grandchildren, Grace Geringer, Blake Westbrook, Vivienne & Silas Kiefer, Grady, Ward & Ian Esselman and Carter Lorenz.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son-in-law, Charles Bohnert; brother-in-law, John Poppitz.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, October 6, 2025 at Ford & Young East Perry Chapel in Altenburg and will continue from 8:00 am to 9:50 am on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Altenburg.
Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Altenburg with Rev. Frank Lucas officiating.
Burial will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Altenburg.
Memorial contributions may be given to Lutheran Heritage Museum, Altenburg Public School, United in Christ Lutheran School or Riverside Regional Library in Altenburg.
