Wayne F. Walker, 83, of Perryville, Missouri passed away Friday, September 19, 2025 at Mercy Hospital Southeast.
He was born October 8, 1941 in Perryville, MO to Alfred and Lillian (Lohman) Walker.
Wayne and Carol Marie Walker were married at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville, Mo. and were blessed with 30 years of marriage.
He served in the United States Army.
Wayne served many years on the Perryville Fire Department where he served as Fire Chief. Wayne also worked as a mechanic for the City of Perryville.
He was a handyman who could fix almost anything.
He was often heard saying his favorite phrase, “okey dokey”.
He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville, MO.
Survivors include niece, Dena (Tim) Underwood; nephew, Brian (Karen Robinson) Walker; and several great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; brother, Lowell T. Walker; sister-in-law, Marjorie Walker; nephew, Brent Walker.
Visitation will be held at 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, September 26, 2025 and 8:00 am to 9:50 am on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville, MO.
Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am Saturday, September 27, 2025 at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville with Deacon Direk Hunt officiating.
Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery in Perryville, MO with military honors provided by the American Legion and Delta Team.
