STE. GENEVIEVE – Sales tax receipts in Ste. Genevieve are down so far this calendar year.
The Missouri Department of Revenue transferred the proceeds of the city’s four sales taxes Monday.
The city’s one percent general sales tax brought in $66,982.93 in June. That brings the total so far this year to $413,437.11, which is down $11,882.18 from the first six months of 2024.
The city’s two half-cent taxes, which are designated for mass transportation and capital improvements each brought in $31,645.58. So far this calendar year each of these taxes has brought in $193,744.83, which is down $6,454.49 from the same period last year.
The city’s consolidated city use tax is down 118,012.56 so far this year. It brought in $27,874.08 in June.
