Earl P. Mueller

A funeral will be held Thursday, July 3, 2025 for 89-year-old Earl P. Mueller of Perryville, Mo. who passed away Friday, June 27, 2025 at Riverview at the Park Care and Rehabilitation Center in Ste. Genevieve, Mo.

 

He was born November 27, 1935 in Frohna, Mo., to Joseph F. and Elsie E. (Schlichting) Mueller, who both preceded him in death.

 

He married Shirleen M. Petzoldt on June 6, 1959. She preceded him in death on November 22, 2021.

 

He is survived by two sons: David (Deanna) Mueller of Perryville, Mo. and Darren (Anna) Mueller of Perryville, Mo.; two daughters: Denise Mueller of Fort Worth, Tex., and Deborah (Todd) Buerck of Perryville, Mo.;  three sisters: Doris Favier of Perryville, Mo., Helen Stover of Cape Girardeau, Mo., and Nancy Petrulis of Perryville, Mo.; two sisters-in-law: Ardene Koenig of Arnold, Mo., and Jean Petzoldt of Pocahontas, Mo.; six grandchildren: Christopher (Alison) Porter, Megan (David) Berkbigler, Ryan (Kindle) Mueller, Brooke Buerck, Austin Buerck, and Carlie Mueller; seven great-grandchildren: Ava, Janie, Paige, Jules, Jillian, Kennedy and Jaxson.

 

He was also preceded in death by a son: Daniel L. Mueller; and five brothers: Shirley, Eugene, Edward, Harry and Robert Mueller.

 

Earl was an assistant superintendent for Gilster Mary Lee for many years.

 

After retirement he worked for Perry County School District 32.

 

Earl was a faithful member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville and was on the Immanuel Lutheran Board of Elders.

 

He loved Hoeckele’s Bakery and loved listening to Cardinal Baseball

 

Visitation will be 8:30-11 a.m. Thursday, July 3, 2025 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville.

 

A funeral for 89-year-old Earl P. Mueller of Perryville, Mo. will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 3, 2025 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville with the Rev. Matthew Marks officiating.

 

Burial will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Perryville.

 

Memorial contributions may be given to the Immanuel Lutheran School Expansion Project or to Journey Hospice.
