A funeral will be held Thursday, July 3, 2025 for 91-year-old Herman Joseph Kraenzle of Sainte Genevieve, Mo. who passed away June 27, 2025.
He was born November 13, 1933 to Emil Kraenzle and Sophia (Baechle) Kraenzle who both preceded him in death.
He married Hilda Kraenzle. She survives.
He is also survived by two daughters: Joanne (Joe) Schneider and Joyce (Scot) Stephens; two sons: Tom Kraenzle and Michael (Linda) Kraenzle; a daughter-in-law: Cherri Kraenzle; a sister, Lucille Tlapek; grandchildren: Adam (Monica) Schneider, Leah (Scott) Bennett, Brooke Stephens, Amy Stephens, Emma Kraenzle, and Ella Kraenzle; and great grandchildren: Russell Bennett, Elliott Bennett, and Dahlia Bennett.
He was also preceded in death by a son: David Kraenzle; two sisters: Bernice Budd and Florence McCool; and a brother: Charles Kraenzle.
Hermy was a dedicated member of the VFW Post No. 2210 for 60 years and the American Legion Post No. 150 for 50 years. He served as a past board member of Levee District 2.
A graduate of Valle High School in 1951, Hermy went on to serve in Germany as a sergeant in the US Army from 1953 to 1955.
He was a loving husband of 69 years, father, grandfather, great grandfather and a loyal friend known for his many admirable qualities.
Hermy will be remembered as a hard-working farmer and honorable man with great integrity. His presence will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be 12-noon to 2 p.m. Thursday, July 3, 2025 at the Church of Ste. Genevieve in Sainte Genevieve, Mo.

Burial will be at Valle Spring Cemetery in Sainte Genevieve, Mo., with full military services performed by VFW Post No. 2210.
