Wilfred William Renner

A funeral will be held Thursday, June 26, 2025 for 90-year-old Wilfred William Renner of Perryville, Mo. who passed away Saturday, June 21, 2025 at St. Francis Medical Center.

 

He was born January 6, 1935 in Perryville, MO to William Joseph and Cecelia Juliana Bohnert Renner.

 

He and Mary Lucille (Behrle) Renner were married on April 27, 1963 in Highland, MO and were blessed with 62 years of marriage.  She survives in Perryville.

 

He is also survived by two sons: Jeffery (Bobbi Jo) Renner and Stanley (Sarah) Renner; a daughter: Jolene (Chris) Hancock; four grandchildren: Olivia (Drew) Garvey, Jon (Amber) Renner, Tristan Hancock, and Mary Renner; and two great-grandchildren: Etta Jo Garvey and Augustine Garvey.

 

He was also preceded in death by two sisters: Marcella Wills and Loretta Pingel.

 

Wilfred served in the US Army. 

 

He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.

 

Wilfred enjoyed riding and repairing bicycles, camping and traveling with his family, playing bingo with his wife and he loved to read the daily newspapers.

 

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 25, 2025 and from 8-9:30 a.m. Thursday, June 26, 2025 at the Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville.

 

A funeral mass for 90-year-old Wilfred William Renner of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 26, 2025 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville with the Rev. Fred Wandera, officiating.

 

Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Highland with military honors provided by American Legion Post No. 133 and the Delta Team.

 

Memorial contributions may be given to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
