A funeral will be held Saturday, June 7, 2025 for 79-year-old Vincent L. Grein of Sainte Genevieve, Mo. who passed away June 3, 2025.
He was born August 21, 1945, son of August Grein Sr. and Mary (Stoll) Grein who both preceded him in death.
He married Patricia M. (Fallert) Grein. She survives.
He is also survived by a daughter: Tammy (Patrick) Drury, a son: Dean (Anne) Grein, a daughter: Julia (Keith) Schmelzle, a daughter: Tina (Dan) Huck, a brother: Francis (Joyce) Grein, and grandchildren: Kali, Sawyer, Evan, Ryan, Connor, Hope, Kale, Braden, Sophia, and Owen.
He was also preceded in death by a brother: August “Gus” Grein Jr.; and a sister-in-law: Reva Louise Grein.
Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Saturday, June 7, 2025 at the Basler Funeral Home in Sainte Genevieve.

Burial will be at St. Agnes Cemetery in Bloomsdale, MO with full military honors provided by VFW Post 2210

He was a past member of the American Legion Post 554 Bloomsdale and a past member of the Knights of Columbus 1848 Bloomsdale.
Vincent was an avid outdoorsman with a deep love for hunting and fishing. He found great joy in sharing these passions with his friends and family. Some of his most cherished moments were spent at Lake of the Ozarks, surrounded by loved ones and the beauty of nature.
Vincent was a beloved co-worker and dedicated employee at River Cement and Bloomsdale Excavating, both of which he retired from.
Vincent was a strong man always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. His kindness, strength, and love for the outdoors left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all.
