QUINCY, Ill. — Two Quincy University students from Red Bud: Ryan Bollinger, and Blake Maes, have graduated from Quincy University at its 162nd Commencement ceremony on May 17 at 10 a.m. in Quincy University’s Football Stadium. The 2025 spring graduating class is comprised of 157 undergraduates and 23 graduate degree recipients.
Bollinger earned a Bachelor of Science of Finance Degree.
Maes earned a Bachelor of Science of Management Degree.
Sarah Vordtriede-Patton, PhD, provost and vice president for academic affairs, conferred degrees. Ralph Oakley ’80, chair of the QU Board of Trustees, delivered the commencement address. Oakley is the retired CEO of Quincy Media, Inc. and has continued the Oakley family tradition of significant involvement in community and industry activities.
William H. Metzinger was awarded the Degree of Doctor of Humane Letters. Metzinger is employed by Dot Family Holdings LLC. For 24 years, he was Chief Financial Officer of Dot Foods, Inc. and has served as a senior executive of Dot Family Holdings LLC for the past nine years.
