STE. GENEVIEVE – Valle Catholic High School celebrated the Class of 2025 with Baccalaureate Mass and Senior Awards Banquet, held last week in the Ste. Genevieve Catholic Church and DuBourg Centre. Class members were recognized for their academic achievements, extracurricular involvement, and presented with local scholarship awards.
Coach Nancy Fischer announced the Valle Boy and Valle Girl Awards.
Patrick Schilly was named Valle Boy. Coach Fischer shared, “What has distinguished our Valle Boy, what has made him the best of the best, though, has been the leadership he has displayed through his commitment to service. As a lead student ambassador, as StuCo president, as treasurer of NHS, he was always front and center when asked to plan or help with events, but more importantly, he had the ability to see what needed to be done and to do it, without even being asked.”
Brooklyn Weibrecht was named Valle Girl. “What has made our Valle girl “la crème de la crème” was how she treated other students – both her peers and those younger than she – every day. Supportive, compassionate, empathetic, cooperative, and helpful are all words that describe this young woman,” said Coach Fischer.
