CHESTER — On an extremely cold, bitter Wednesday January 26, the Chester Area Christian Food Pantry hosted the monthly Mobile Market at the Cohen Recreation Complex in Chester.
Approximately 25 volunteers served clients with 67 vouchers.

The event began at roughly 8:30 a.m. and by 10:30 a.m. the monthly food distribution was complete.
Clients received a wide variety of items including a box of mixed vegetables and fruits, a case of bacon, a 20-pound bag of onions, apples, a variety of chips, Jimmy Dean pork sausage, bags of frozen burrito filler,10 pounds of potatoes, a box of turkey meat, and a bag of shelled walnuts.
A case of liquid hand soap was also afforded each client.
The food pantry served 201 households with 468 individuals in December.
Items needed to help stock the pantry include saltine crackers.
Monetary donations are also appreciated.
The next Mobile Market will take place Wednesday February 23 at 8:30 a.m.
