Rick lived a life marked by dedication to his craft, service to his country, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life.

Rick proudly served in the United States Army for over 10 years. His commitment to service extended beyond his military years through his involvement with Am Vets Post #94 and VFW Post #4282. These affiliations reflected his enduring camaraderie with fellow veterans and his continued support of those who served.

Professionally, Rick worked as an automotive and heavy equipment mechanic. His skill and work ethic earned him respect among colleagues and clients alike. Whether under the hood of a car, rebuilding a classic, or fine-tuning a piece of machinery, Rick brought precision and pride to every task.

From 1997 until 2022, Rick made his home in Kempner, Texas with wife of 47 years, Ellen. During these years and throughout his life, he found joy in watching NASCAR races and restoring antique tractors and cars-interests that combined his mechanical talents with a love for speed and craftsmanship.
