STE. GENEVIEVE — This week, Ste. Genevieve High School’s Future Farmers of America (FFA) chapter hosted its annual Mini Fair at the Ste. Genevieve County Fairgrounds, welcoming first and second grade students from area schools for a hands-on introduction to agriculture.
Held under the big barn, the fair featured a variety of educational stations where young visitors could learn about farming techniques, equipment, and animal care.
SGHS FFA students brought in their own livestock and tools for the event, offering interactive exhibits that included ducks, chickens, goats, pigs, rabbits, horses, and more.
In addition to animal exhibits, students also shared insights into topics such as beekeeping, taxidermy, and gardening.
The Mini Fair provides a unique opportunity for FFA members to put their knowledge into practice by educating others, while giving younger students a close-up look at agricultural life—something many may not experience elsewhere.
