March Mobile Market feeds 370 persons

CHESTER == The March 2025 Mobile Market was held Wednesday March 26 at the Cohen Recreation Complex in Chester.

 

Approximately 30 volunteers assisted members of the Chester Area Christian Food Pantry (CACFP) in unloading, sorting, and distributing seven pallets of food products supplied by the St. Louis Food Bank.

The following Chester High School students from Amy Miller’s Class volunteered at the March 26 Mobile Market sponsored by the Chester Srea Christian Food Pantry. The CACFP served 157 households with 370 individuals during the month.

 

Out of that population, 118 were children.

 

Items needed at the pantry included Hamburger Helper, Tuna Helper, canned fruits, and canned meats.

 

Monetary donations are always accepted to help purchase items not donated.

 

The CACFP Manager is Bob Koenegstein of the First United Methodist Church in Chester.
