JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – On Wednesday, April 23, 2025, Lieutenant Governor David Wasinger will host Buy Missouri Day at the Capitol, bringing together dozens of businesses from across the state to showcase Missouri-made products and highlight the value of buying locally.
The Buy Missouri initiative, created in 2017 by the Office of the Lieutenant Governor, promotes products grown or manufactured in Missouri. There are over 650 Missouri businesses in the program and another 60 retail partners who help promote Missouri products. Buy Missouri serves as a driver of tourism, entrepreneurship, and economic growth—encouraging consumers to support local businesses and invest in Missouri’s future.
“Buy Missouri is about building strong communities and keeping dollars in our state,” said Lieutenant Governor David Wasinger. “When we support Missouri-made products, we’re investing in jobs, local families, and the long-term strength of our economy. I’m proud to highlight the incredible businesses that call Missouri home. Buy Missouri is about more than products—it’s about celebrating the people behind them and helping their communities grow.”
Participating vendors will display their goods in the Capitol Rotunda, offering everything from artisanal soap and handcrafted goods to barbecue grills and furnaces. Legislators, staff, and all Capitol visitors are invited to attend and explore the diverse offerings from these local entrepreneurs.
“We’re excited to showcase a small sample of the more than 650 members in the Buy Missouri program,” said Anna Littrell, Director of Buy Missouri. “When you buy local, you help communities thrive and keep Missouri’s economy strong.”
