Bloomsdale woman seriously injured in St. Francois Co. crash

JEFFERSON CITY — A 22-year-old Bloomsdale woman suffered serious injuries in a traffic crash on Highway 221 in St. Francois County Sunday afternoon.

 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the woman was taken to Parkland Hospita South by St. Francois County EMS.

 

According to the patrol’s report, the Bloomsdale woman was the driver of a 2024 Volkswagen Atlas which was stopped at the intersection of Highway 221 and Route NN. That’s when a 2017 GMC Acadia driven by a 28-year-old Arcadia Valley attempted to make a left turn onto 221 from NN and struck the front of the Volkswagen.

 

The driver of the Acadia, who was not restrained, was unhurt in the crash

 

The Bloomsdale woman was buckled up. Her Volkswagen had extensive damage and was towed by Boyd’s.

 

The Acadia had moderate damage and was towed by Buckley’s.
