PERRYVILLE – Officials with the Perry County School District No. 32 announced Tuesday afternoon that Perry County Middle School will reopen on Friday, March 28.
“PCMS students have missed nine days of class since the March 14 tornado damaged the school and other facilities on the Perry County School District 32 campus. All necessary temporary repairs to the middle school roof, broken windows, and damaged doors have been completed, and inaccessible areas have been cordoned off. Some windows at the rear of the building are boarded up for safety until they can be replaced. Asbestos testing has been negative,” a news release stated.
The announcement closed with information for parents: “Classes resume for normal school hours, and parent pick-up and drop-off procedures remain the same.”
