A memorial service will be held Saturday for 83-year-old Michael Woodrow Schrumpf of Perryville, Missouri who passed away Saturday, March 22, 2025 at his residence.
He was born July 8, 1941 in Perryville, Mo. to Woodrow Wilson Schrumpf and Imogene (Hunt) Schrumpf who both preceded him in death.
Michael and Terry Ann Griffard were married April 23, 1966 in Perryville, MO. She survives him in Perryville.
Survivors include his wife; daughter, Tina Marie Matasci of Perryville, MO; son, Michael R. (Sheila) Schrumpf of St. Mary, MO; two brothers, Edward Schrumpf of Perryville, MO, David (Shirley) Schrumpf of Kansas City, MO; two sisters, Judy Starzinger of Jackson, MO, Carol Dabbs of Tuscumbia, AL; three grandchildren, Dalton (Linzie) Schrumpf of Desloge, MO, Kirsten Schrumpf of Fenton, MO, Megan Matasci of Creve Couer, MO; great-grandchildren, Amelia & Oliver Schrumpf of Desloge, MO.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Jean Ellen Corse.
He was a Retired Sergeant Major with the United States Army with thirty years of service.
Michael was a member of the Perryville Methodist Church, AmVets #94, American Legion Post #133, VFW #4282, Perry County Sportsman Club, Perryville Eagles Lodge, Knights of Columbus #1263, The Fleas, and Freedom of the Road Riders. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Saturday, March 29, 2025 at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville.
A memorial service for 83-year-old Michael Woodrow Schrumpf of Perryville, Missouri will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 29, 2025 at Ford & Young Funeral Home with the Rev. Caleb Mueller officiating.
Full Military Honors will be provided by the Delta Team, with the Color Guard provided by American Legion Post No. 133.
Burial will be at a later date.
