Marine Corps League Cpl. Mason O Yarbrough Detachment 1081 hosts annual S.O.S. Breakfast

JACKSON – The Marine Corps League invites the community to its annual S.O.S. Breakfast on Saturday, March 29, 2025, from 7-11 a.m. at the National Guard Armory in Jackson, Missouri.

This cherished tradition features a hearty breakfast centered around the classic military dish “S.O.S.” (commonly known in the service as “Stuff on a Shingle”)— a comforting meal with deep roots in military history.

The event is open to the public, and all are welcome to attend and enjoy a morning of food, fellowship, and support for local Veterans. Proceeds from the breakfast will benefit the Marine Corps League and its Veteran support programs, which serve former Marines, FMF Corpsman and their families throughout southeast Missouri.

“This event is more than just a meal— it’s a way to honor tradition, bring the community together, and raise support for those who have served,” said a representative from MCL 1081. “Whether you’re a Veteran, a family member, or a proud supporter, we’d love to see you there.”
