16-year-old Ste. Genevieve teen, 13-year-old Farmington boy hurt in traffic crash

JEFFERSON CITY — Two teens, a 16-year-old from Ste. Genevieve and a 13-year-old from Farmington suffered moderate injuries in a traffic crash on Route EE in Ste. Genevieve County Saturday afternoon.

 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol report states the crash happened when a 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by the 16-year-old ran off the right side of the roadway, then returned to the roadway, ran off the right side of the roadway again, and then overturned, striking a fence.

 

The 13-year-old was taken to Parkland Health Center in Farmington.

 

The 16-year-old was taken to St. Louis Children’s Hospital.

 

Neither teen was buckled up according to the report.

 

The Tahoe had extensive damage.

 

The crash happened about 12:35 p.m. north of Frye Road.
