Feeding Perry County Food Drive takes on a new urgency

Perry County Extension

PERRYVILLE – Friday’s storms have left many Perry County residents in a tough situation.

When the Perry County Extension began the annual Feeding Perry County Food Drive in January, it had no idea where this would take it.

Beginning today, the Perry County Extension Office at 321 N. Main Street, 573 457-4504 will accept ANY and ALL nonperishable food donations through the end of April to support our increasing number of community members in need. It does not have to be in line with our item of the month.

We want to help support our community during this difficult time and we will make sure all donations go directly to families in need and to the local food pantries for distribution.

Our normal business hours are 8 a.m.-12 p.m. and 1 p.m.-5 p.m. If you drop items off during the lunch hour, they can be left at the door.

A drop box is also located inside the main entrance of Mercy Hospital Perry.
