STE. GENEVIEVE – Ste. Genevieve American Legion Post 150 has donated $4,000 to the Ste. Genevieve County School District R-II.
The donation will fund two $1,500 scholarships for seniors in the Ste. Genevieve High School Class of 2025 seniors. The recipients will be notified with the news on April 29 when all local scholarships are announced.
SGHS Counselor Russ Toombs and Commander Linda Lewis
“Ste. Genevieve High School appreciates the continued support from community organizations and businesses that make these opportunities possible. These scholarships will help students pursue their goals and further their education,” a school official stated.
In addition to supporting scholarships, American Legion Post 150 donated $1,000 to the Student Assistance Program within the district’s Care to Learn chapter (bit.ly/dragongiving).
Care to Learn maximizes donations by securing matching grants to address students’ needs.
The Ste. Genevieve post provides immediate funding for emergent health, hunger, and hygiene needs, ensuring students can focus on learning. With community support, we continue to make a meaningful impact.
“Ste. Genevieve County R-II sincerely thanks American Legion Post 150 for its generous commitment to student success,” the school official stated.
