Immanuel Lutheran wins sportsmanship trophy at LSAM Tourney
PERRYVILLE – The Immanuel Lutheran Lady Warriors of Perryville competed this past weekend at the Lutheran Sports Association of Missouri State basketball tournament in Jefferson City.
The team finished in sixth place and received the Sportsmanship Award.
This award is given to teams that demonstrate good sportsmanship from players, coaches, and fans.
“We couldn’t be more proud of these young ladies!”
SGHS Sports Banquets set
STE. GENEVIEVE – The Ste. Genevieve High School Winter Sports Banquets will be held next month.
The wrestling banquet will be held Monday, March 17.
The basketball, cheer and dance banquet will be held Wednesday, March 19.
Both banquets will begin at 6 p.m. and will be held in the high school cafeteria.
An awards program will follow a meal prepared by the school’s cafeteria staff.
Invitations will be sent to all managers and players in the coming days.
Boys Basketball
STE. GENEVIEVE – Ste Genevieve lost to Pacific 39-38.
The Dragons host Perryville Thursday.
CHESTER – The Class 2 Regional Tournament at Chester resumes with two games tonight.
Top seed Belleville Althoff plays 10th seed Chester at 6 p.m. and 4th seed Pinckneyville plays 12th seed Red Bud at 7:30.
Tonight’s winners will meet Friday at 7 for the regional championship game.
PERRYVILLE – No. 2 seed St. Vincent plays No. 3 seed Meadow Heights at 6:30 p.m. tonight in the Class 2 District 4 Tournament at Caledonia.
STE. GENEVIEVE – Third seed Valle plays No. 2 seed West County Thursday at 7 p.m. in the Class 3 District 3 Tournament at Festus.
PERRYVILLE – Perryville plays at Ste. Genevieve Thursday at 6 p.m.
Girls Basketball
JACKSON – Saxony Lutheran lost at North County 40-31.
The Crusaders play Potosi at home Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
PERRYVILLE – Perryville hosts Windsor tonight at 7.
STE. GENEVIEVE – Ste. Genevieve hosts De Soto tonight at 7:30.
STE. GENEVIEVE – The Valle Catholic-St. Paul Lutheran team has the No. 1 seed in the Class 2 District 4 Tournament at Crystal City. They will play fourth seed Brentwood Thursday at 5:30.
PERRYVILLE – St. Vincent has the top seed in the Class 2 District 3 Tournament at Chaffee. They will play fifth seed Charleston Thursday at 6 p.m.
