Gerald ‘Jerry’ Leslie Ruessler

A funeral will be held Saturday, March 1, 2025 for 71-year-old Gerald “Jerry” Leslie Ruessler of Perryville, Missouri who passed away Sunday, February 23, 2025 at his residence.

He was born October 18, 1953 in Perryville, Mo. to Herbert Leslie and Olga Rose (Koenig) Ruessler, who both preceded him in death.

He and Linda (Kutz) Ruessler were married May 11, 1974 at St. Maurus Catholic Church in Biehle, Mo. She survives him in Perryville.


Survivors include two daughters, Kim (Chad) Strattman, Angie (Matt) Tucker; four siblings, Leroy (Penny) Ruessler, Donnie (Mary) Ruessler, Barbara (Glennon) Moore, Carol (the late Don) Hager; two brother-in-laws, Eddie (Brenda) Kutz, Bill (Kathy ) Kutz; four sister-in-laws, Nancy (the late Chuck) Sisson, Ruthie (Lloyd) Sutterer, the late Faye (Larry) Balsman, Susie (Mark) Sisson, Lori (Brent) Kirn; five grandchildren, Jaylen, Dayton & Dexter Strattman, Averie & Aubrie Tucker.

He was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law & mother-in-law, William & Lorine Kutz

 

Jerry worked as an aircraft mechanic.

 

He loved and was loved by his wife, girls, son-in-laws, grandchildren, family and friends.

 

Jerry was always active in sports, whether it be volleyball, tennis, pickle ball and of course golf. If he wasn’t on the golf course you could find him spending time with his family watching his grandchildren participate in all their various activities or just spending quality time with those that he loved probably enjoying his famous chili.

He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church where he formerly served as a church elder and usher. He also previously served on the Perry County Country Club Board.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday, February 28, 2025 and 8-10 a.m. Saturday, March 1, 2025 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville..

A funeral for 71-year-old Gerald “Jerry” Leslie Ruessler of Perryville, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 1, 2025 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville with the Rev. Joseph Schlie officiating.

Memorial contributions may be given to Journey Hospice or Immanuel Lutheran School Building Fund.
