Agnes Louise Farrar

Agnes Louise Farrar passed away at her home on February 19, 2025, at the age of 78. She was born in Biehle, Missouri on August 25, 1946 to Julius and Violet Hotop. She married Richard, the love of her life on September 26, 1964.

Agnes worked from the age of 16 until she was 70 at numerous jobs including, Brown Shoe Co., Moore Quality Farms egg factory, Moore Quality Foods, St. Anthony Hospital in housekeeping and the cafeteria.

No matter where she went, she made a friend and kept in touch with them in some way. She truly knew that it was more blessed to give than to receive. Her generosity knew no bounds. She was a planner and had gifts and cards ready for all the birthdays, anniversaries and special events. Aggie was a loving wife, mom, grandma, great grandma and a beautiful soul who would help anyone. Her radiant smile lit up any room she entered. She enjoyed crocheting, embroidering, and making quilts, afghans, and scarves for anyone and everyone. She also enjoyed fitting puzzles, and beating everyone at Rummy, no matter what age, she’d take you down. She loved country music and dancing the night away. She could be talked into anything, no matter how silly. She always wanted to make everyone happy. She lived life to the fullest and especially loved spending time with her family. She was the best cook; from her Thanksgiving dressing, her potato salad to her delicious fried chicken which was requested the most. She always loved looking good, her lipstick and hair had to be just right and loved all of her sparkly, dangly earrings that she would match to every outfit. She supported all of her grandkids and would go to all of their sporting and school events. She loved her Cardinals even when they weren’t winning. She had St. Louis Cardinal lights, she hung in her windows during the season. If they won, they stayed lit up all night, if they lost she shut em’ down. Holidays were her favorite, she kept Christmas set up in her family room all year round! Whoever would stop by she was happy to show you her little remote, that would light up her tree and village with one click! She loved talking on her phone with her brothers and sisters just about every day. She also was the fastest and best emoji posting guru on Facebook! She was an avid prayer warrior for anyone who needed it and prayed the many rosaries she collected, daily. People always asked her to pray for them, which shows you what a wonderful loving soul she was.
