A funeral will be held Tuesday, February 25, 2025 for 70-year-old Kenneth L. Stewart of Perryville, Missouri, who passed away at 2:45 a.m., Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at his residence.
He was born April 1, 1954 in Chester, Illinois, to Roy L. Stewart and Opal (nee Smith) Easton who both preceded him in death.
Kenneth married Pamela Roche in June, 1954; she survives in Perryville.
He is also survived by four children: Gwen Stewart (Kent Hennemann) of Perryville, MO, Kendra Morfin of Grand Tower, IL, Eddy (Stephanie) Stewart of Perryville, MO and Thomas Stewart of Perryville, MO; five siblings: Jeff (Cindy) Easton of Sparta, IL., Doug (Tammy) Easton of Chester, IL., Paul Easton Steeleville, IL., Ruth Easton of Christopher, IL., Mark Easton of Rockwood, IL.;
12 grandchildren: Chlorissa (Nathan) Arrington, Blake (Tamera) Stortz, Miranda (Josh) Phillips, Ryan Stortz, Samantha Morfin, Ennete (Dustin) Hickam, Devon Morfin, Emma Morfin, Bryce Stewart, Brittanie Stewart, Kaidynce (Dallas) Ferguson and Mia Stewart; 13 great grandchildren: Conner, Chasen, Carslynn, Cohen, Noah, Serenity, Nevaeh, Jaxon, Blakelynn, Christian, Amoura, Boydn and Sklyer; two dogs: Little Girl and Spanky one grand pup: Reba Lynn; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was also preceded in death by his stepfather: Shirley “Wacker” Easton, a sister: Barbara Easton and a great niece: Brianna Easton.
He was an over the road truck driver for Gilster Mary-Lee Corporation.
Kenneth was a member of the American Legion Post No. 487 in Chester. He enjoyed trucking, shopping for his grandchildren and great grandchildren and fishing.
He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday and 8-10 a.m. Tuesday at the Pechacek Funeral Homes, Chester, Illinois.
Interment will be in the New Palestine Cemetery in Walsh, Illinois.
