SGCMH sponsoring “GenERAtions,” the 2025 Women’s Health Fair

STE. GENEVIEVE – Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital (SGCMH) is gearing up for its 26th annual Women’s Health Fair scheduled for Saturday, February 22, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The theme for this year’s event is “GenERAtions, celebrate your health era!”  The hospital hallways will be filled with vendors and staff sharing lots of great information about healthy living in a fun and interactive way.

“We are excited to host this event each year with more vendors, health education and fun,” said Tina Poston, SGCMH marketing and community relations director. “This year we will celebrate the health era for all of our ladies from the Silent Generation to Generation Z!”

Participants will start off with an opportunity to meet and greet with Women’s Wellness Services providers during a Candid Coffee Hour upon entry into the fair. including coffee and pastries.

“Our women’s wellness providers will greet ladies as they come in,” stated Poston. “They will be the first providers they see and, can take time to discuss healthy habits. Many times, women running the household lose the opportunity to make time for themselves, we are putting the focus back on them.”

The event will empower ladies to feel empowered to indulge themselves in moments of fitness. Exercise classes include Yoga, Barre Workout and Total Body Shred.

Here’s a list of speaker presentations and exercise activities:

“We are also offering a limited number of Lipids (cholesterol HDL, LDL) and/or Vitamin D screenings, 12 hours fasting recommended for good results. Participants must call 573-883-7791 to register by Thursday, February 20,” stated Poston.

There will be lots of hospital departments showing the variety of services available at the hospital including a careers table for anyone seeking employment.

“Most all of our departments will participate so women can learn how SGCMH services can empower them to lead a healthy lifestyle. Cardiac Rehab, Respiratory Therapy, Diagnostic Imaging, Food and Nutrition and even Patient Portal,” said Poston. “It’s a great way to get to know the hospital, and all of the resources we offer to the community.”

“We’ll even have a little pampering with massage therapists, beauty tips and boutiques,” said Poston. “There’s even an opportunity to get a friendship bracelet with beads, string, and charms to represent your healthcare generation.”

Poston said another reason women love coming to the fair is for the giveaways.

“We’ll have plenty of those,” she said. “Everyone attending will receive a giveaway at the door; there will be a door prize drawing after each speaker presentation for those attending presentations as well as our vendor giveaways. The grand prize will be something that represents each generation which means, there will be five winners from each of the generations: Silent, Baby Boomers, Generation X, Millennials and Generation Z.”

Throw in a photo booth, delicious treats, and lunch. A fun-filled morning and early afternoon at the hospital that women have been enjoying for the past 25 years.

“We hope women come out and enjoy themselves, do and see lots of things, and most of all leave inspired and empowered,” said Poston.
