OZORA, Mo. – A small earthquake shook Ste. Genevieve and some surrounding counties Monday night. The magnitude 2.4 earthquake struck at 11:13 p.m. It was centered in Ste. Genevieve County about 3.8 miles west northwest of Ozora. It was felt in Ste. Genevieve and also in Festus and Farmington. The tremor occurred at a depth of 3.7 miles underground.
No damage or injuries were reported from the quake, which was relatively mild for the area. A Ste. Genevieve resident reported a mild rocking motion and their house creaking.
