Dorthey Jean Evans, 77, of Cape Girardeau, Missouri passed away Friday, January 10, 2025 at The Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau, MO. Dorthey had been a long time resident of Altenburg, MO before her stay at The Lutheran Home.
She was born October 26, 1947 in Humansville, MO to William L Pyle and Frances J (Edwards) Pyle.
Dorthey was a passionate antiques and collectibles dealer. She enjoyed visiting with friends and making special memories with her family, especially when watching her grandsons play sports.
She was a member of Cape County Cowboy Church, Oak Ridge, MO.
Survivors include husband, David Evans; daughter, Amy (Gary) Weber two grandsons, Drake Weber and Grant Weber of Altenburg, MO; brother, William Pyle, Jr. As well as loving sister-in-laws and their families. Several nieces and nephews survive that Dorthey was very fond of. Dorthey is also survived by several caring neighbors that were very special to her.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Virgil M. and Ruby E. (Roy) Pyle and maternal grandparents Joseph T. and Bertha L. (Akins) Edwards; parents; daughter, Leslie Michelle Saunders; brother, Roger Edward Pyle, and niece Teresa Pyle Hill.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday, January 16, 2025 at Ford & Young East Perry Chapel in Altenburg. MO.
Memorial Service will be at 7:00 pm Thursday, January 16, 2025 at Ford & Young East Perry Chapel.
