Grain inspection training available

JEFFERSON CITY – The Missouri Agribusiness Association (MO-AG) will be hosting an OSHA Seminar on Grain and Feed Facility Inspections Jan. 22, 2025 from 8 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.

Discussion will include what Missouri grain handlers can expect if selected for a Grain LEP inspection and what can be done now to prepare.

The seminar will be held at the MO-AG Building: 410 Madison, Jefferson City, MO 65101.

Participants can plan to learn:
– OSHA Enforcement and Rulemaking Priorities
– Top OSHA citations in general and grain handling industry
– Heat Injury/Illness and Emergency Preparedness
– Lessons Learned – Overview of SIFs and Dust Hazard Analysis in the grain industry such as dust explosions,
engulfment, falls from railcars, non-routine work, etc.
– How consultants can help prevent hazards through program development, training, and audits.
– OSHA review of Regional and Area Inspection Data
– OSHA Policy on Grain Related Issues including Confined Space/Bin Entry/Sweep augers, Fall Protection, and Combustible Dust.
