JEFFERSON CITY — A 21-year-old man from Waynesburg, Pennsylvania suffered serious injuries and a 61-year-old Sedgewickville man received moderate injuries in a traffic crash on Highway 51 in Perry County Saturday night.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol traffic crash report prepared by Trooper E. Walker both men were taken to St. Francois Healthcare System by Perry County Ambulances.
The crash report says the crash happened when a southbound 2020 Ford Focus driven by the Waynesburg, Pennsylvania man crossed the center line and struck a northbound 2008 Hyundai Sonata driven by the Sedgewickville man.
The report states the Waynesburg, Pennsylvania man was unrestrained but the Sedgewickville man was buckled up.
The crash happened about 10:15 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 51 and Ozark Lane.
Both cars were total losses and were removed from the scene by Perry County Towing.
