A funeral will be held Monday, September 30, 2024 for 76-year-old Emma M. Schoenbeck of Red Bud, Illinois, who passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2024 at Oak Hill nursing home in Waterloo, Illinois.
She was born August 2, 1929 in Campbell Hill, Illinois, daughter of Otto and Sophia (nee Joost) Wettig.
Emma married Wilbert H. Schoenbeck on September 24, 1950 at West Point Lutheran Church, Campbell Hill, Illinois; he preceded her in death on November 26, 2012.
She is survived by a son: Robert (Diane) Schoenbeck of Red Bud, IL; three grandchildren: Kaitlan Schoenbeck (Keith Braun), Kailey (Kyle) Hemmer and Kolan (Kristen) Schoenbeck; two great grandchildren: Bowen Hemmer and Charlotte Schoenbeck; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was also preceded in death by seven siblings: William Wettig, Arthur Wettig, Linda Kueker, Stella McFadden, Elda Linders andHenry Wettig, and an infant sister.
Emma had been a homemaker and also helped out on the farm.
Emma was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Red Bud (Prairie), Illinois.
Visitation will be 2-6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 29, 2024 at the Pechacek Funeral Homes, Red Bud, Illinois
and 9-10 a.m. Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Red Bud (Prairie), Illinois.
A funeral for 76-year-old Emma M. Schoenbeck of Red Bud, Illinois will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, December 30, 2024 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Red Bud (Prairie), Illinois. The Rev. Scott Hojnacki will officiate.
Interment will be at Trinity Lutheran Church, Red Bud (Prairie), Illinois
