Foundation for Restoration of Ste. Genvieve holds 2024 Holiday House Tour

STE. GENEVIEVE – In spite of a rainy day, the Foundation for Restoration of Ste. Genevieve welcomed over 100 guests on its second annual Holiday House Tour held on Saturday, December 14.

Tour goers enjoyed holiday sights and sounds at ten different stops, including live music and refreshments at several stops.

Eight private homes not normally open to the public allowed guests to get a glimpse inside while they were decked out in their holiday finest.

Also included on the tour were the historic Guibourd-Valle House and the Main Street Inn.

The Foundation’s next home tour event will be on Saturday, March 15, 2025.

James Baker describes some Christmas traditions while giving a tour of his 1807 vertical log home, known as the Dorlac House.

A dulcimer player entertained those entering a Queen Anne style house built in 1896.

Foundation Board member Jack Koetting participated in the tour by performing holiday tunes at the Main Street Inn.

Ron Barron talks about his 1906 American Four Square home while surrounded by antiques in the dining room.
