A funeral will be held Thursday, December 19, 2024 for 85-year-old Robert L. Dannenbrink of Red Bud, Illinois, passed away at 3:35 a.m., Monday, December 16, 2024 at his residence.
He was born August 7, 1939 in Ruma, Illinois, a son to Elmer and Alma (nee Schmidt) Dannenbrink who both preceded him in death.
Bob married Joyce Schmidt on July 4, 1961 in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Red Bud, Illinois; she survives in Red Bud.
He is also survived by two children: Peggy (Terry Ray) Cottner Waterloo, Illinois and Terry (Stacey) Dannenbrink of Austin, Texas; two grandchildren: two grandchildren: Alex Cottner and Jesse (Chelsie) Cottner; as great grandson: Caleb Cottner and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was also preceded in death by a daughter: Kristy Lynn Dannenbrink
Bob was an iron-worker at Nooter Corporation in St. Louis, Missouri, for over 35 years.
Bob was of the Lutheran Faith and a member of the National Rifle Association.
He enjoyed spending time in nature, using his metal detector to look for coins and searching for arrowheads. Bob also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Visitation will be 9–11 a.m. Thursday, December 19, 2024 at the Pechacek Funeral Homes in Red Bud, Illinois.
