Over 300 registered for 4th Annual Mary Mingle 5K: Record-breaking turnout expected

CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO – The 4th Annual Mary Mingle 5K, a festive holiday run/walk supporting the Community Counseling Center Foundation, is set to take place this Saturday, December 7th. With a record number of participants already registered, this year’s event promises to be the biggest and most joyous yet. As of the time of this release, 313 participants are registered to compete.

 

The Mary Mingle 5K is more than just a race; this festive event is a fun-filled way to support mental health services in the community. Proceeds from the race will directly support the Community Counseling Center Foundation, which provides essential mental health support to individuals and families in Bollinger, Cape Girardeau, Madison, Perry, and Ste Genevieve counties.

 

The 5K race will begin at 8:00 AM at Mary Janes Smokehouse and wind its way through downtown Cape, ending at Minglewood Brewery. Participants are encouraged to dress in their most festive attire and join in the holiday spirit. Registration $25 until December 3rd, December 4th to race day $35.00, snow, rain, or shine! No refunds. Prizes will be awarded for the largest jolly posse and the most ridiculous holiday get-up; as well as 1st-3rd place age group awards in the form of Christmas ornaments.

 

The Community Counseling Center served approximately 7,000 individuals annually in the five-county service area in 2023. The Foundation’s support has a direct impact, helping countless individuals overcome challenges and build healthier lives. The Community Counseling Center Foundation is committed to improving the mental health of individuals and families in our community. Through the generous support of donors and volunteers, the Foundation is able to provide vital services, including counseling, therapy, and crisis intervention.
