STE. GENEVIEVE – Ste. Genevieve High School has announced that two SGHS esports players: Bennett Walls and Ryder Keyser have qualified for the Fall Brawl State Competition.
The top 16 players of the team’s class were chosen to compete at the Fall Brawl Friday. Bennett finished second, and Ryder came in fourth.
The SGHS esports team was launched in the 2023-2024 school year.
In the last few years, a proliferation of high schools, colleges and universities have recognized the benefits of students being able to represent their schools through this activity! The Missouri Scholastic Esports Federation (MOSEF) was founded as a 501(c)(3) organization in 2019. By the spring season of 2023, more than 100 schools enrolled in the organization, and there are now more than 200 schools enrolled, representing over 4,000 scholastic gamers.
