A funeral will be held Monday, Dec. 2, 2024 for 87-year-old Maxine A. Henry of Ste. Genevieve, Mo., formerly of Dupo, IL, who passed away Thursday, Nov. 21 at the Riverview at the Park Nursing Center in Ste. Genevieve, Mo.
Maxine was born October 9, 1937, in St. Louis, Mo., the daughter of Ignatius and Wanda (nee Barczewski) Geppert who both preceded her in death.
She married Robert Henry in St. Louis, Mo. He preceded her in death.
She is survived by a son: Brian (Cheryl) Henry of Dupo, IL; a daughter: Yvonne Powers of St. Louis, MO; eight grandchildren: Tamatha Chaney, Kavin Wyatt, Christy Wolfmeier; Scott (Andrea) Wolfmeier, Christina Henry, Nicole (Shaun) Grant, Stacey (Joey) Harley and Nicholas Fink; 16 great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; five siblings: Sister Marlene Geppert, OSF of St. Louis, MO, Pat Miller of New Athens, IL, Eugene Geppert ofNashville, IL and Howard Geppert of Nashville, IL and Hazel (Scott) Biggs of Coulterville, IL; sister-in-law, Hattie Geppert of Nashville, IL;
She was also preceded in death by three sisters: Aileene (Gilbert) Greten, Shirley (Fin) Finanger and Georgia (Leslie) Fields; and three brothers: Germaine (Gail) Geppert, Stanley Geppert and Robert (Judy) (Marlene) Geppert.
Maxine worked for many years at Obear-Nester Glass Company.
She worked also as a seamstress and was of the Catholic faith.
She was a member of the Obear-Nester Retirement Group.
Maxine enjoyed quilting, sewing, gardening, crocheting and she loved flowers and cooking with family.
Friends may call at St. Ann Catholic Church in Nashville, IL on Monday from 9 a.m. until the service hour.
A Mass of Christian Burial for 87-year-old Maxine A. Henry of Ste. Genevieve, MO, formerly of Dupo, IL, will be held Monday, Dec. 2, 2024 at St. Ann Catholic Church in Nashville, IL at 10 a.m. with Fr. Benny George officiating.
Cremation will be performed after services and burial of ashes will be held at a later date in the St. Ann Old Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, mass offerings or memorials may be made to the St. Ann Cemetery or St. Ann Catholic Church and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home, who is in charge of arrangements.
