A funeral will be held Tuesday, Nov. 26, for 69-year-old Charles Henry Hartman of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 2:16 pm, Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at Mercy Hospital South, St. Louis, Missouri.
He was born August 17, 1955 in Chester, son of Wilbert and Evelyn (nee Blair) Hartman , who both preceded him in death.
Charles married Tammy Stirnaman on November 13, 1988 in Bremen, Illinois; she survives in Chester.
He had worked out of the Local #100 Laborers’ Union for Columbia Quarry of Dupo for over 40 years.
Charles was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Bremen, Illinois where he was very active. He loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren, going fishing with his grandsons, and enjoyed working on classic cars.
He is also survived by three children: Jodi Jundt of Chicago, IL, Jennifer (James) Knott of Ellis Grove, IL and Charles Suhre Colp, IL; four siblings: Larry (Terri) Hartman Chester, IL, Betty (Tom) Towne Texas, Mark (Angie) Hartman Texas, Vernon (Julie) Hartman Chester, IL; four grandchildren: Hailey, Blake, Emily and Parker and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Nov. 26 at St. John Lutheran Church, Bremen, Illinois.
