Perryville woman receives minor injuries when car strikes deer

JEFFERSON CITY — A 73-year-old Perryville woman received minor injuries when the car she was driving Friday evening on Highway 51 in Perry County hit a deer.

 

Missouri State Highway Patrol Trooper J.R. Stombaugh reports the woman was taken to Mercy Hospital Perry by a Perry County Ambulance.

 

In his report, Trooper Stombaugh stated the woman was driving a 2019 Ford Escape north on Highway 51 when it struck the deer.

 

Trooper Stombaugh said the woman was buckled up.

 

The crash happened about 6 p.m. near Route J.
