Republican House Leader McCombie calls for ‘course correct’

SPRINGFIELD, IL — Illinois House Minority Leader Tony McCombie spoke at a House press conference recently saying that as the House Republicans move toward the 104th General Assembly they are looking to address where we stand as a state and why we need to “course correct” our current path.

The Savanna Republican said this election cycle was a clear mandate against one party control.  She said that residents of the state voted with their pocketbooks in mind, signaling a call for better fiscal accountability and immediate relief.

McCombie called it a wake-up call, demanding a departure from Democrat lead policies that have drive the state to where it stands today, facing a fiscal cliff.  She added that Illinois families are feeling the pain and are tired of watching our hard-earned tax dollars vanish into the black hole of unchecked spending…the results at the polls spoke volumes.
