Fifth grade students combine science lessons and culinary skills

STE. GENEVIEVE, MO. – Recently, fifth grade students at Ste. Genevieve Elementary School took their science lessons on food origins to the next level by creating their own “farm-to-table” pizzas.

After learning about how ingredients make their way from farms to our tables, students designed their own unique pizzas, drawing each creation along with recipes and ingredient lists.

Each student named their personalized pizza before bringing it to life, using fresh ingredients to make it from scratch.

A school official stated, “This hands-on project gave students a deeper appreciation of food sources while combining creativity, science, and culinary skills in one delicious lesson.”
