Perry County election results

PERRYVILLE – It was a Republican Party sweep in Perry County with voters voting for Donald Trump for president (with 2,002 of 3,573 precincts reporting, he was leading Kamala Harris (D) 1,124,966 to 841,349.,

 

Josh Hawley who was seeking re-election for U.S. Senator, was leading his nearest opponent, Lucas Kunce (D) 1,066,979 to  868,348.

 

Mike Kehoe for governor, was leading his nearest opponent, Crystal Quade (D) 1,119,549 to 803,223.

 

Dave Wasinger for lieutenant governor, was leading his nearest opponent Richard Brown (D) 1,077,172 to 792,777.

 

Denny Hoskins for secretary of state, was leading his nearest opponent Barbara Phifer (D) 1,081,876 to 813,436. 

 

Vivek Malek for state treasurer was leading his nearest opponent  Mark Osmack (D) 1,084,022 to 782,870.

 

Andrew Bailey for attorney general was leading his opponent: Elad Jonathan Gross (D) 1,122,509 to 779,853.

 

Jason Smith for eighth district congressman, was leading his opponent Randi McCallian 154,512 to 30,486.

 

Jamie Burger was unopposed  for District 27 state senator.

 

Bryant Wolfin was elected 145th state representative in  the final count.

 

Republicans also swept local offices.

 

Perry County voters said

 

No to Amendment 2, the sports betting measure which was passing statewide: 989,652 to 982,790,

 

No to Amendment 3 the abortion rights measure which was passing statewide: 1,055,670 to 933,969;

 

No to  Amendment 5, for a gambling boat at the Lake of the Ozarks, which was failing statewide 928,074 yes to 1,012,998 no.

 

No to Amendment 6 for funding law enforcement which was also failing statewide 735,698 yes to 1,151,715. and said

 

Yes to Amendment 7 which would bar non-citizens from voting which was passing statewide 1,297,116 yes to 623,.252 no.

No to Proposition A: minimum wage and sick days which was passing statewide 1,161,424 to 802,143.

 

The voter turnout was  9,859 which is 72.56 percent of  13,587.
