PERRYVILLE – Notes from October meeting: Beta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa met for their third yearly meeting on October 8, 2024.
The theme was Move Forward in Peace.
President Glenda Gremaud called the meeting to order and welcomed guests Joanie Edmundson and Amy Figge as part of our October Social.
Sara Hansen’s roll call question was ‘What was your favorite Halloween costume as a kid?”
Hostesses for the evening were Janice Guebert, Tammie Lukefahr, Carolyn Schmidt and Janet Schuessler. Michelle House and Cheryl Ray-Layton provided hospitality for the evening.
Lisa Vinton won the raffle and those with October birthdays were Karen Krieger, Janet Schuessler, Olivia Carter, Debra Cobb, Brenda Glaus, Brenda Smith, Cheryl Ray-Layton, and Candy Mueller.

October is Alpha Delta Kappa month and our service projects include the October 1st Ice Cream Social at Independence Center, a Veteran’s Breakfast at MNVM on October 15, Bingo at the Senior Center on October 22 and our presence at Beef O’Brady’s on October 29 to publicize our sorority.
Our program was Creating the HEART of tomorrow, created by a Minnesota member but presented by Janice Guebert. H is for heritage, E for excellence, A for altruism, R for recognition and T for teaching. Several of our chapter quilts were on display and their significance was explained to our guests and new members.
