Alfred ‘Al’ Allen McDaniel

A graveside service will be held Friday, October 18, 2024 for 74-year-old Alfred “Al” Allen McDaniel, of Sainte Genevieve, Mo. passed away peacefully at home Monday, October 14, 2024 in Sainte Genevieve, Mo.

 

He was born November 7, 1949 in Truman, Ark., a son of Idus McDaniel and Mattie (Smith) McDaniel, who both preceded him in death.

 

He married Linda (Schilly) McDaniel May 25, 1985. She survives in Ste. Genevieve.

 

He is also survived by a son: Michael (Paula) McDaniel of Olympia, Wash.; a daughter: Amanda (Samuel) Staley of Bloomsdale, Mo.; a brother: Dave (Belated Willadean) McDaniel; a sister: Kathy (Belated Lanny Heflin and Steve Mode) Mode; a sister-in-law: Evelyn McDaniel; grandchildren: Brandon (Shelby Gordon) Isenman, Emily (Sandra Melton) Isenman, Joseph Isenman, Drake McDaniel, Sammantha (Chris) Mulliford, Olivia and Sophia Sanabria; three great-grandchildren, Roanen, Thatcher, and Beckett Mulliford; one great-granddaughter on the way; and many nieces and nephews.

 

He was also preceded in death by two sisters: Nellie (Jack) Allen, and Margie (Buck) Croswell; three brothers: Marvin McDaniel, Joe McDaniel, and Doug (Linda) McDaniel.

 

Al was a proud veteran of The United States Navy for six years, including serving two tours in Vietnam during 1968 and 1969.

 

Al was a life member of VFW post 2210, Past Commander of The Bloomsdale American Legion, member of The Sainte Genevieve American Legion, and of Forty and Eight.

 

A graveside service for 74-year-old Alfred “Al” Allen McDaniel, of Sainte Genevieve, Mo. will be held Friday, October 18, 2024 at 10 a.m. at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in Saint Louis, Mo.

 

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
