JEFFERSON CITY – The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports a 48-year-old Ste. Genevieve man died early Saturday morning in a traffic crash on I-55 in Ste. Genevieve County.
MSHP Cpl. C.A. Groves investigated the crash.
In his report, he said Peter Brandt was pronounced at the scene by EMS personnel.
Cpl. Groves reported Brandt was the driver of a 2020 Freightliner Cascadia which was northbound on I-55. He said the truck traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a billboard.
The report stated that Brandt was unrestrained.
The accident report also stated the Cascadia received extensive damage and was removed by Ives Towing.
The crash happened about 12:05 a.m. at the 140 mile marker.
