CHESTER – This week, Chester Public Library director Kira Browning visited the CHS Creative Writing class to record audiobooks for Halloween.
Ms. Browning taught the students how to use Twisted Wave, an online program for recording and editing audio. Students now have the skill to record and produce their own audiobooks and other spoken-word recordings. After the experience, several students expressed interest in pursuing voice-acting as a future career.
The audiobooks will be a part of the library’s “Dial-a-Story” program.
Any community members who are interested in recording their own audiobooks for the Dial-a-Story program are invited to reach out to Kira Browning at the library.
CHS students in Miss Hodge’s elective course will continue to update the Dial-a-Story library throughout the school year. Dial-a-Story is available 24/7, 365 days a year and is always free to call.
