CARBONDALE, Ill. – Southern Illinois University Carbondale is welcoming 31 new tenure-track faculty to campus for the fall 2024 semester.
Sheryl A. Tucker, provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs, said she is looking forward to learning about their scholarly and creativity activities and how they will contribute in the classroom.
“We are excited about the new faculty joining Southern Illinois University Carbondale this year. After national searches, these faculty members were selected by their colleagues as the next generation of scholars who will bring their passions for their disciplines to the classrooms, educating SIU’s diverse undergraduate, graduate and professional students,” she said. “These new faculty strengthen the institutional fabric of SIU and enhance our ability to achieve our strategic goals embodied in our strategic plan, Imagine 2030. The academic affairs leadership team is ready to assist them in achieving excellence in all that they do here at SIU. Welcome to Saluki Nation!”
