The Basler Funeral Home has announced the death of 94-year-old Betty L. Brodersen of Sainte Genevieve, Mo. who passed away peacefully Saturday, September 21, 2024 at her home.
She was born April 14, 1930 in Elroy, Wisconsin, the daughter of Ida Helen Talga Ladwig (Weiland) and Arnold Ladwig, who both preceded her in death.
She married Jacob C. Brodersen December 22, 1951. He preceded her in death.
She is survived by a daughter: Elizabeth (Dino Pershall) Brodersen of Sainte Genevieve, Mo.; two sons: Jacob (Pat) Brodersen and Mark (Sue) Brodersen; grandchildren: Christine June, Susan (Darren) Almli, Jake (Kimberly) Brodersen, Matthew (Sebastian) Brodersen, Sean (McKenna) Brodersen, Justin (Cathy) Nicholson, Brittany (Roy) Hankey, Jesse (Deveney) Brodersen, Johnathan (Ashley) Plisco, and Erin Plisco; 14 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and another great-great-grandchild on the way.
She was also preceded in death by a brother: Donald Ladwig; and two sisters: Arlene Weatherford and Carol Ladwig.

She was a member of Munising Booster Club, American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, and was a Girl Scout Leader.
Betty was a lifelong Detroit Lions Fan and proud Yooper, Betty was an active member of the Munising Booster Club and volunteered for many years with the high school track team.
She was known for her dedication to family and community, she was always ready to lend a hand, whether it was helping at school or supporting local athletic teams.
