Chester Fire Department responds to call for help from Perryville, Mo. Fire Department

CHESTER – The Chester Fire Department was called out Saturday at 12:30 p.m. in response to a request from the Perryville Fire Department for mutual aid to help deal with a hazardous material situation in which an anhydrous tank pressure valve was leaking.

 

It happened on North Main Street in McBride, Mo. near Al’s Place.

 

Charlie Bargman Jr., the Chester Fire Department sent two trucks and six trained men to the location to assist.

 

The Perryville Fire Department moved the leaking tank to safe a location away from McBride and Gateway F/S personnel arrived on the scene and began to repair the leak.

 

Chester personnel kept traffic at a safe distance and assisted with whatever else the Perryville Fire Department requested.

 

No injuries were sustained and the scene was secure at the conclusion of the incident.
